The series „Racing Legends“ is mainly about racing cars from the 60s and 70s, where Markus Haub takes photographes of the racers himself on various racing events and speed tracks all over Europe.
His painting process is based on a mixture of photography and digital and manual working techniques. In a kind of collage he brings the image on the canvas and works in various steps to find the balance between destruction and creation. The paintings are very vibrant thanks to strong color, varnish and reactions between different materials, which he uses to create specific effects in certain areas.
